J2me Still Rules the Mobile Market

With the latest mobile platform Android and with Apple doing so well in the iPhone sales, organizations have forgotten all about J2ME application development without realizing the fact that still maximum number of people across the use J2ME handsets and in African countries and certain other parts of the world J2ME still rules the mobile market.

Recently, Facebook in collaboration with Beluga, a group messaging company has decided to work on better ways to communicate, sharing and at the same time making a group experience more fun . The major reason behind this is that Facebook is looking for some low budget substitute to plain text messaging for some of its mobile services so that the services are not expensive for the users. Facebook will try to use its huge customer base to put the Beluga platforms into more handsets for which Beluga has decided to work and target on J2ME platform so that can reach the mass-market of entry-level handsets.

So companies across the globe to get a stronger foothold with their customers should focus on the J2ME apps as this platform has a lot of untapped areas which can still be explored and the applications can be made which can target a larger number of audience at once.
