iPhone 4S and iCloud: A hit on the first weekend

Apple has always surpassed its records when it comes to the sale of its products. This year is no different and with recent launch of iPhone 4S, the company has sold around 4 million units in its first three days of sale. The sales figures of iPhone 4S are double from those of the last year’s.It is safe to say that majority of the consumers find iPhone 4S to be a compelling device despite the setback it gave to some of the critics and enthusiasts.

The sales for the phone improved over the first weekend because this is the first iPhone that has been launched across multiple barriers. iPhone 4S launch helped both AT & T and Sprint to surpass their previous sales records.

At the same time Apple’s new iCloud service which offers free cloud storage for iOS devices and Mac computers has also crossed more than 20 million signups. These numbers do not come much as a surprise as the idea of free cloud storage was very attractive and in sync with plenty of Mac users and with the ones who are upgrading their phones to iOS 5.
